The client's request was a gut renovation of their brownstone on the Upper East Side of New York. To achieve this, we removed middle partitions and exposed existing brick on each floor. This created seamless, spacious interiors with rich textures. The furnishing is spare: the very linear and simple design of kitchen, fireplace, reading ledge, sliding doors, etc. is finished in black zinc, laminated wood and black slate.
