The request of the client was a gut renovation of their brownstone in the Upper East Side, New York. To achieve this, we removed middle partitions and exposed existing brick on each floor. This creates seamless, spacious interiors with rich textures. The furnishing is spare: the very linear and simple design of kitchen, fireplace, reading ledge, sliding doors, etc. is finished in black zinc laminated wood and black slate.
